Tea at Carousel.

Today was such an enjoyable day! Had High-Tea with BF at Carousel at RP (Opp. Far East Plaza)
because his dad gave him free vouchers! So happy because Carousel is a buffet style restaurant;
their food is soooo good and the variety is huge! If you're still thinking of having your Sakae Sushi buffet/ Sakura Japanese buffet, you should just change your mind right now. Although Carousel's high-tea buffet is priced at $33/adult, it's price is definitely worth it! Carousel's food variety can beat that of  Sakae's/Sakura's easily by twice the size, hands down. So while you may be paying less to dine at Sakae/Sakura, is is actually more worthwhile to spend that extra $10 or so on Carousel.
You definitely won't regret it.I've tried both Carousel's dinner and high-tea buffet but personally
i reckon the latter is better in my opinion.

So i mean you could skip lunch and dinner and just have the buffet! That's what i did today:)
OM NOM NOM-ED to my heart's content!
So while waiting for the buffet to start, we took a few pictures in RP Hotel itself.
Really like this hotel, so classy and clean, even the toilet!
So tempted to Camwhore inside, but didn't want others to think i was a weirdo...
RP has won the 'best city hotel' award or something consecutively for a few years!
What i'm wearing: Denim blouse; Cotton on, Diphem cardigan; Forever 21,
Crotchet lace shorts; The Blogshop @ FEP,Mini Celine luggage tote; Sundayswithyou,
vintage oxfords; Rubi, Watch; watch cart outside FEP, Necklaces;  Forever 21
Cute <3<3<3 But i cut off my face T.T, I fail at Camwhoring!
Ok, now i shall start with appetizer: Seafood selection of cold crabs, mussels, calms, half-cooked salmon <3, salmon sashimi, assorted sandwiches and mini baguettes. I love love the cheese and chicken mini baguette so good!I love how they put a fruit on top of it (prune/grape) so it's more appetizing!
Stupid girl just dashed at the sashimi which can be found anywhere and i ate it the previous day...
Should have gotten more mini baguettes! Now the main course, skipped lots of it cos' i was
already slightly full by the time i reached that section...I had oyster mee-sua (the oysters were deep-fried), taiwanese chicken cutlet, prata with dhal curry and vadai and fish crackers, porridge with braised quail eggs, assorted wu xiang (five spice: fried spring roll, taiwan sausage, century egg), a bit of BF's Laksa,
and they have more curries, even Kebab! And god knows what else... At the drink bar,
they serve Iced Jasmine Green/ Peach/ Strawberry tea. Loved the strawberry tea!
Time for the dessert! So happy because they have about 4 non-stop shelves of desserts!
First up, Pandan waffles with fresh fruits and sauces (Maple syrup, cream, chocolate, jam).
Next we had bread and butter pudding, apple and walnut crumble, brownie and some blueberry custard
all splattered in vanilla sauce <3Then after we finished that whole lot, we had fruits,
marshmallows and mini madelaines in 3 different types of chocolate fondue (white/milk/dark chocolate)!
Hehe, i sprinkled some candy on the grapes cos' it looked nice:/
Oh, and there were assorted pastries as well! So much variety until can forget:/

Then BF came up with the idea of having ice-cream in fondue chocolate. The chocolate freezes instantly!
Topped mine with milk/white chocolate, candy and a biscuit!
Bought Cherry Yoghurt, hazelnut praline maccarons and berry meringue for dessert!
The meringues are at $2/each, while the maccarons are at $2.40/each.

View of Ion Orchard taken at Shaw Isetan, where we watched Petalling street warriors, so hilarious!

Also collected my Velvet maxi skirt from Rades today! When i met her, she so funny, tell me to look inside Forever 21 cos' got a lot of stuff there. Then i saw she got so many clothes in her shopping bag! Like me! Except i was broke after paying for the maxi skirt and really saw a sequinned tube & asymmetrical forest green chiffon skirt but couldn't get it:(
I got it for $26/self-collection. Saw a similar looking velvet maxi skirt in the same shade
(only without the pleats) retailing at topshop for $76! Saved like $50 buying for Rades!:)
It's fully lined in satin and the maxi skirt's material's good!
Lastly, sorry to disappoint you all but i bought the last piece:(

Awesome day today that i won't forget!
Love, Kyla.

  1. I've always wanted to try Carousel but find it tad expensive and plus I don't have a huge appetite. Still wondering if it would be worth it for me...

    1. Agree with you it's quite ex, but the service there was very good (they clear your plates before you return with next round) and i like the ambience:) I don't have a huge appetite either, so i go for variety rather than amount:) So no harm giving it a shot, if you find you don't like it, you don't have to go back again!:)Would recommend to go for high-tea cos' lunch and dinner are at $46-50/adult and $62-75/adult!:O
